LOGLINE
“I CAN’T CHANGE ANYTHING” is an absurd comedy-drama with surreal charm and elements of magical realism.
The story centers on Katharina (30), a talented rock musician and immigrant, haunted by apocalyptic visions since childhood. In 2012, during a scorching summer in Germany, Katarina finds herself wasting her musical talent, working in music management with spoiled artists in Berlin.
Torn between her dreams, apocalyptic visions, and work tasks, she receives a call from home: her father has been in a car accident. She returns to her homeland, Somnia, an autocratic island she once left behind and despises, wishing she never had to return.
While in Somnia, a strange solar phenomenon occurs, causing the visions to intensify and gradually become visible to others.
As chaos escalates, Katarina fights to protect her family and friends, while also confronting her own fears and uncovering the deeper meaning of the visions for her homeland’s future.
